Často kladené otázky
We use high-quality carpentry birch plywood, HDF boards and hardboard to produce ornaments and decorations.
Quality birch plywood B/BB – Interior use
Birch plywood is a multi-layer board material composed of thin layers of veneer glued together in a crosswise direction. This production method ensures high strength, stability and aesthetic appearance.
Last but not least, it is of higher quality than spruce, pine or poplar plywood.
What does the B/BB marking mean? ✅ B – The front side has an almost flawless surface, may only have minimal repairs or minor wood defects. ✅ BB – The back side may contain minor knots, veneer repairs or color differences, but is still of high quality.
Properties of birch plywood B/BB:
✅ High strength and durability - thanks to cross-glued layers it is very stable ✅ Smooth surface - ideal for painting, staining and decorative finishing ✅ Easy to work with - easy to cut, mill and drill ✅ Ecological material - made from natural wood with a minimum of chemical additives
Use:
Furniture and interior decoration production
Children's toys and design elements
Model making and carpentry projects
Door panels and construction material
Disadvantages: ⚠️ Not suitable for humid environments – the standard interior version is not water resistant
HDF (High-Density Fiberboard)
HDF is a material made from wood fibers that are pressed under high pressure and temperature. The result is a very strong and durable board with a smooth surface and high density. Due to its properties, it is often used in furniture, flooring, doors and decorative elements.
Advantages of HDF: ✅ High strength and resistance to mechanical stress ✅ Smooth surface ideal for painting or veneering ✅ Shape stability, does not warp like solid wood ✅ Possibility of precise milling and detailed machining
Disadvantages of HDF: ⚠️ Sensitivity to moisture - not suitable for extremely humid environments
Hardboard – Thin fiberboard
Hardboard is a low-density pressed fiberboard made from wood fibers without the use of adhesives – the fibers are bound by a natural lignin bond. It is smooth on one side and rougher on the other.
Advantages of Sololit: ✅ Light and easy-to-work material ✅ Ecological production without added chemicals
We use hardboard in our production only exceptionally and only for one specific product – the Mandala decoration. We chose this material because of its specific texture and visual properties, which, when combined with laser processing, create a unique effect.
Disadvantages of Solid Wood: ⚠️ It is not water resistant - it can warp when wet
